Hello! It was late March 2018 when we visited Bangkok! This time, flying in from Hong Kong, and the weather was great, just nice - warm and sunny.
Cathay Pacific has a pretty good movie selection for their inflight entertainment.

Day 1| Thailand, famous for its temples and shrines; and we are at Central World, passing by a Hindu shrine dedicated to Ganesha.

Make your way to Pratunam Pier. We had cheap boat noodles at Lung Prathunam Boat Noodles (GoogleMaps), you'll find the stall well hidden in an alley under the bridge. Iced guava juice went super well with the meal.

On the opposite site of the bridge, Khao Kha Moo Trok Sung offers spectacular Pork Knuckle rice. Hidden in a roadside stall (GoogleMaps).

Heading back to chill at Lemontea Hotel Pratunam, welcoming the full squad. FYI: The hotel serves complimentary lemon tea when you check in.

Drop by Big C Supercenter after you finished your shopping at the Platinum Fashion Mall. Shop for snacks, fried worms and more snacks. "Worm" delicacies as low as 25THB.

Chinatown, also known as "Yaowarat". Is located off Pratunam, we resorted to taking a 6 seater taxi (Grab app lets you hail a cheaper 6 seater taxi).
I felt like the area rips off tourists (tho I liked the big prawns brains and the tomyum at Lek and Rut). Also, avoid getting ripped off by tuk-tuks (unless you are keen on an experience).

Day 2| While you're in Bangkok, make time to visit one of the largest weekend markets, "Chatuchak". Alight at Mo Chit BTS Station and walk approximately 5 mins to the entrance of Chatuchak Market (GoogleMaps).

I love coconut ice cream, and I like it best with glutinous rice, atapchi and some nata de coco. Coco JJ @Section 1, Soi 36 was the one we went.

Stop by any noodle shop within your vicinity and get your fix of noodles and hot broth. Pork skin here tastes like shrimp chips.

Thai Milk Tea at Weekend Coffee & Toast. Even it is a small shop, then again, hands down, their Thai Milk Tea is amazing.

The Siew Yuk @Section 19, Soi 7 wasn't better than the uncle's smile, then again it was still pretty decent roast pork to try in Chatuchak.

I love water chestnuts, and their Rubies in Coconut Milk, commonly known as "Tub Tim Grob" is one of my personal favourite.

We paid a visit to Or Tor Kor Market, 10 minutes walk from Chatuchak (GoogleMaps). It is shaded, and offers a cheaper selection of fruits and nuts.
The market is located right outside Kamphaeng Phet MRT Station. Alternatively, take the MRT from Chatuchak Park, if you choose to skip the walk.

If you are into Architecture and Thai Silk. perhaps you might appreciate the visit to Jim Thompson House. We spent approximately an hour there. Take a train to National Stadium BTS Station. And the museum is 5 mins away (Google Maps). Admission fee is 150THB/pax.

Silk balls on display.

Heading to Terminal 21 at Asok BTS Station. The best thing about this place is the air-conditioning and the food court.

After You Shibuya Honey Toast, pretty good for an experience. We were in queue for 45 minutes,

Selection from the food court at Pier 21.

Day 3| Floral Cafe by Napasorn (GoogleMaps). Conveniently located opposite the Pak Khlong Market Flower Market. They have interior decorated with dried flowers and plants, not to mention they serve very good coffee too. One of the places with great ambience to chill, catch-up and unwind.

The Yodpiman and Pak Khlong Flower Market, is a wet market selling fruits and flowers. There was not much activities going on when we visited at noon. Though I seem to hear that the market is busiest around midnight or at 3-4am. (Blog by Anywayinaway)

Our next meal was by the Chao Phraya River overlooking Wat Arun. We visited Supanniga Eating Room x Roots (GoogleMaps) for lunch.
It took us another 45 minutes to hail a taxi back to Pratunam. If you are visiting the area, make sure you have an exit strategy well prepared.
Appetizer: Ma Hor (minced pork with tangerine and peanuts) and flossy pork and herbs wrapped in betel leaves.

You can read more about them at www.supannigaeatingroom.com . I seem to recall Lard Mushroom was a really spicy dish.

Tom Yum Goong: Traditional Thai spicy soup with jumbo prawns.

That's about now. I hope you enjoy Bangkok. Don't forget to get loads of massage and shopping!
A short video on our adventure. Cheerio :)
