SIGHTSEEING LONDON IN A DAY

And so it was a sunny day in London. Beautiful city, overcrowded with tourists. But nevertheless we decided to make the best out of the visit.

Get down at St James' Park, you will find yourself within walking distance to The Buckingham Palace.

And the fortunate sight of the guards marching at the Buckingham Palace.

The skies above have lovely clouds. Infront of the Buckingham Palace, there's a figure of a woman suckling an infant. Victoria is the 'mother' of the nation, and the monument also marks this place as the centre of the empire.

Each of the gateposts to the monument is inscribed with the name of an imperial dominion, and the Malay-States is one of them. (Again being Malaysian, I particularly am very proud when I see anything that can associate itself with Malaysia).

Not sure if you've been to London and realise, that most of the cars you see on the streets have the shades of black and white. Thus far, the only colourful transportation would be the tour buses or the buses in general.

From the Buckingham Palace, take a stroll back to the Victoria Station and proceed to Westminster Station and there you will find the spectacular Big Ben and London Eye. Hello Big Ben, you look nice.

The Big Ben is also known as the Great Bell of Clock Tower on the Elizabeth Tower.

London Eye through my fish eye.

The coca-cola London Eye, absolutely picturesque from afar. But if you'd like to take a birdeye view of the city, the top of the Ferris Wheel would be the best bet you could get.

One in a million way to pose while taking a picture. Ahpek you looking pro, I is adore you.

One of the best way to travel London is to use the Underground Tube. With 6.80 pounds, you can find yourself anywhere from Zone 1 to Zone 6 in London, in one day! To me, I find the underground to be one of the most interesting attractions of London. (Check out the Oyster Card)

Next stop, the London Bridge!

I think someone died here, may your blessed sould rest in peace.

Near the London Bridge Station, you will come across the very hipster Borough Market. Things are pretty pricey here. But there're very interesting things to see.

My favourite cuppa Flat White! I would order a flat white practically whereever I go. Here, their beans tastes surprisingly delish, and it comes with a hint of fruity-sourness.

While strolling through Borough Market, I found the pretty wall of "Before I Die". Then I was wondering, what's have a Kiki?

Next stop, we are at the Tower of London, a pitstop at the Tower Hill station. Exit the underground station and find yourself looking at the spectacular view of the Fortress located on the north bank of the River Thames.

I kinda noticed, if you go to any country and lucky to see any european or caucasion kids, they would always be somersaulting. I start to think that it might be a culture or something. Just like when you see chinese, you'd always be able to associate them with congee and hot drinks. #justsaying #funfact

London, being one of the most touristy cities that I've ever visited. But I suppose the beauty of the city encourages alot of visitors across the globe.

If you walk pass Jubilee Walkway you will pass by an underpass to a stunning view of the sunset across River Thames.

The view overlooking the tower bridge from the riverside of the Tower of London.

Did you also know that you could take the lift up to the Tower Bridge walkway exhibition? The Tower Bridge is also a bascule bridge aka movable bridge - the bridge can open and it has hydraulic systems that can help raise the bridge.

Despite the fairly interesting bulbous shape architecture, the London City Hall hosts alot of annual activities, also including the 2015 London Bridge Live Arts.

A free performance by the local performing arts team at The Scoop next to the City Hall. London despite being the smallest city in England, it is also one of the world's leading financial centres. London being famous for arts, entertainment and fashion also demonstrates its strengths in many other areas including commerce, education, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development, tourism and transport.

This is the HMS Belfast, it's also part of the London Imperial War Museums. Located just next to the City Hall. You will spot the warship far far away as you look across the River Thames.

Baker Street, a home to fictional detective Sherlock Holmes created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I fancied the character of Sherlock Holmes only after watching the movie starred by Robert Downey Jr. and drama series Sherlock starred by Benedict Cumberbatch. I tried to like the original black and white series starred by Jeremy Brett but it just didn't feel the same.

Sherlock Holmes' home at 221B Baker Street.

Here we are at King's Cross St. Pancras, last place of the day. St. Pancras is also part of the London railway terminus. Just being at the King's Cross Square gave me such a strong Harry Potter vibe already.

Well unlike what I've imagined from watching too much Harry Potter, the King's Cross station is actually a fairly modern railway station.

There are 15 platforms at the St. Pancras Station and the crowd you see at the railway station is equavalently as busy at the London Airport.

"Don't talk rubbish. There is no platform nine and three-quarters." — Vernon Dursley. This platform is hidden between the muggle platform 9 and 10. This wizard kid can't wait to return to Hogwarts!

Day Trip to Lavender Garden, Mayfield

Here we are at Mayfield, the place where Lavenders are grown and harvested from May to September. Well sadly, when we were there, the Lavenders were halfly harvested already. But atleast we still have the other half to ourselves.

Kids playing hide and seek among the harvested lavender farm.

Well there's nothing much to say, but do let the pictures do the talking.

And look, guess what a mandatory Lavender-fie!

And this delish meal of lavender scones with cream and jam

With More Food...

Amazing breakfast at Truth Coffee Bar, Hammersmith. It comes with a generous serving of avocadoes, portabello mushroom, beans, roast tomato, streaky bacon, hashbrown, sourdough bread, sunny side and sausage! Breakfast like a king.

And a decent meal of Thai Food, where we had too much. More than enough for us to shit fire.

Till then London!
